Planned Disruption

A449 Stafford Road traffic management

We’re improving safety and traffic flow on the A449 Stafford Road by building new laybys.

Here’s what you need to know:

Vegetation Clearance: Starting in January 2025, there will be off-peak lane closures from 9am to 3:30pm on both sides of the A449.

Barrier Installation: Overnight closures on both sides of the A449 will take place between 13-17 January 2025, from 8pm to 6am.

Lane Closures: Single lane closures, both day and night, will continue until the new laybys are finished in Summer 2025.
